3 Russian Warships Dock at Tanjung Perak Harbor

Three Russian warships entered Indonesian waters and docked at Jamrud Tanjung Perak Harbor, Surabaya.

Main Naval Base V (Lantamal V) directly welcomed the arrival of three Russian warships, two of which were anti-submarine destroyers belonging to the Russian Navy, namely Admiral Panteleev-548 and Admiral Tributs-546.

The three of them docked at North Jamrud Pier, Tanjung Perak, Surabaya.

On Sunday, two Russian Pacific Fleet warships of the destroyer type docked at Tanjung Perak Harbor, Surabaya, and officially became guests of honor on Lantamal 5 Koarmada II.

The two destroyers were Admiral Tributs 564 and Admiral Panteleyev 548, which carried out long-distance voyages in the Asia-Pacific region.

Even though it is not the first time sailing to Indonesia, the presence of this destroyer with anti-submarine capabilities is interesting to observe, especially due to its large weapons and tonnage.
Panteleyev is a destroyer of the Udaloy Class, which began construction on May 24, 1987, and officially entered service with the Russian Pacific Fleet on May 1, 1992.

This ship, with a deadweight of 7,900 tons, a height of 163 meters, and a width of 19 meters, has an armament of 2x4 SS-N-14 anti-submarine missiles and eight SA-N-9 hanud missiles with vertical launchers.

Present at the welcoming opportunity were the Operations Assistant (Asops) for Danlantamal V, Marine Colonel (P) Muhammad Taufik, and several PJUs in the ranks of Lantamal V.

Kadispen Lantamal V Marine Lieutenant Colonel (Kh) Agus Setiawan said in his press release that the ship would be in Indonesia for four days as a diplomatic mission.

During the four days of the diplomatic mission, several visits will be carried out by the Russian Navy, namely Captain (Navy) Aleksei Antsiferov, Deputy Commander of the Division of Surface Ships of the Pacific Fleet of the Russian Navy.

"32 Lantamal V soldiers were deployed to carry out the Merplug of the arrival of the Russian Warship, a visit in order to strengthen and maintain good relations between Russia and Indonesia," said Lieutenant Colonel Agus Kadispen Lantamal V Surabaya.
